Juan Carlos Escotet Rodríguez: Abanca Helps 5 Innovators to Develop Their Projects
Abanca has launched the ABANCA Innova Program, which is an initiative to promote talent with the intention of helping university students in training and occupationally skills in order to develop and make their innovation projects a reality. The program has as an objective to provide the skills and working methods necessary for them to create their own start-up or develop and see their innovation project implemented within Abanca.
According to Maria Camino, General Director of Human Capital at Abanca, the Abanca Innova Program is part of the commitment to knowledge and innovation of the institution, which are the two most powerful aspects considered by Abanca to generate economic and social development in their context.
More financial innovation
Candidates for this program must submit a draft applicable to financial activity, such as planning new products and services, improving customer experience, creating new channels or applications, innovation, etc. Abanca will select five of them and offer an incentive package into two blocks: training and employment. In the first one, lasting 12 weeks, Abanca is offering scholarships to the five selected for the realization of the Advanced Lean Innovation Program based on Adobe Kickbox methodology.
At the end of this period, an innovator who will move to the next phase will be selected among the five participants. In the next phase, Abanca will offer a one-year contract to the innovator, time in which, integrated in teams developing new ideas, the innovator will participate in the development and implementation of the project within the bank.
The selection of the five innovators participants will be made through the web www.abanca.com/innova, which is the channel where candidates must submit their applications. The process started on June 22 and ends on July 12. The communication of the selected applications will be held in the last week of July.
