Banesco will sponsor IESA with Bs 6.45 million in the next five years
The first installment of the funds corresponding to 2009 was Bs 1.29 million, which were assigned to strenghten the training programs of this educational institution
Banesco Banco Universal, organization whose Corporate Social Responsibility activities include support for educational initiatives, signed a sponsorship agreement with the Institute of Superior Administration Studies (IESA for its Spanish name), by means of which it commits to grant Bs 6.45 million in order to strenghten the postgraduate courses offered by the Institute.
In the signature ceremony were present Juan Carlos Escotet Rodriguez, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banesco, and Francisco Sananez, IESA’s President.
Escotet Rodriguez explained that, according to this agreement, the funds will be handed over a five-year period. Of the total amount, 1.29 million will be granted in 2010.
Escotet Rodriguez expressed that Banesco supports this IESA initiative because there is no doubt of its important contribution to the formation of first class managers, who serve the necessities and particularities of the country.
Francisco Sananez, President of IESA, explained that the moneys will be used in the so named 2015 IESA Campaign┬Ø, in order to set up a stabilization fund for retaining and expanding the professoral team of one of the Institute’s emblematic programs: the Finance Master Degree; on the other hand, these resources shall also strenghten the Entrepeneur Center, whose target is the formation and promotion of micro-entrepreneurs.
Sananez said that for 2015, when the Institute arrives to its 50th anniversary, IESA aims to increase in 70% the number of yearly graduates in the Finance Master, and to train some 15,000 entrepreneurs.
