Juan Carlos Escotet Rodríguez: Three Banesco’s Books at FILCAR
The presentation of the book Gente que emprende was held this last Thursday 25 February in the room Luz Machado of the Second International Fair of the Caribbean Book. It is about the first mobile photography book that is edited and published in Venezuela. This book is a compilation of photographs that participated in the homonymous competition and contained the photographs selected by the jury. The main objective of the competition is to promote and recognize the hard work of Venezuelan entrepreneurs.
On the opening day, the itinerant exhibition “El instante decisivo. Venezuela a través de la Agencia de noticias Efe” (Decisive moment. Venezuela through the news agency Efe) was also presented. It is sponsored by Banesco and the mentioned agency with the objective of celebrating 50 years of Efe in Venezuela. The fifty images from the exhibition show the close relationship between Spain and Venezuela, especially since the arrival of the Efe agency to the Venezuelan lands. Visitors to the FILCAR can have the chance to visit the exhibition until March 2.
Three publications from the Banesco’s Editorial Fund are present at this Second International Fair of the Caribbean Book held in Margarita Island (Nueva Esparta) at the Convention Center of the mall Sambil Margarita. The activity is organized by the University of Margarita.
