Participatory Budget

Banesco, Banco Universal held its second edition of participatory budget in a community in Maracaibo Municipality. This time five projects will receive financial support from this institution. These benefits are:

Reconstruction of the perimeter fence in the Arquidiocesana School Institute Niños Cantores del Zulia: founded in 1975, this school has 300 students. According to the information provided, the school received Bs. 200,000.00

Community Urban Forest: this reconstruction had an approved amount of Bs. 173,800.00.

Construction of the boundary wall in the Animal Shelter ASODEPA: this construction has the objective of protect the integrity of the animals in this organization. Approved amount: Bs. 199,550.00

Implementation of strategies for early detection of breast cancer: approved amount: Bs. 113,325.00 with the objective of make researches to early detection of breast cancer in women over 30 years old in Maracaibo.

Optimization of the environments for pediatric care and surgical and therapeutic approach: in order to have environments 100% optimized, this initiative received Bs. 113,325.00

All these projects were benefited by Banesco with an amount of up to Bs. 800,000.

Executive Vice President of Communication and CSR of Banesco, Mariela Colmenares, highlighted the positive and very important impact of every one of these initiatives supported by this financial institution in Zulia State. She said that all participants have chosen those five initial projects that probably will have a positive impact on the health and the education of many children of low-income, as well as having positive repercussions on the animal defense and protection of the environment.
