Juan Carlos Escotet Rodríguez: Banesco Continues its Policy of Corporate Social Responsibility
Banesco Banco Universal continues supporting diverse initiatives in the country in the area of education, as part of its policy of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
In this opportunity, the bank will make a contribution of Bs. 14,220,000 to support the Financial Assistance Plan (PAF) that manages the Institute of Higher Administration Studies (IESA).
The president of this Institute, Gustavo Roosen, said that the PAF is a program of financial support and scholarships to their graduate students who have the talent, but not all the financial resources to cover their investment in IESA; he also explained that this time, the contribution of Banesco will directly benefit 44 postgraduate students.
Since 2009, Banesco maintains a close relationship with the IESA. That year the two institutions agreed a budget of Bs. 6.45 million – to be distributed in 5 parts – sponsoring professorial chairs of one of the flagship programs of the Institute: Master in Finance.
This program has 13 subjects, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance and Investment Management in the area of Finance and Economy, Negotiation, Communication and Ethics applied to Finance in the areas of Strategy, Organization and Management.
Strengthening Entrepreneurship Center
It is important to note that Banesco’s resources for the IESA have also been employed in strengthening the Entrepreneurship Center, which seeks to support the Venezuelan entrepreneurs.
