The decision was taken during the Ordinary Assembly of Shareholders held last March 22nd, in which were considered and approved the Financial States corresponding to the second semester of 2017.

Banesco Banco Universal, the bank entity led by Juan Carlos Escotet, set the resources in Bs. 22.998.010,57 to preferred shareholders corresponding to the emission 2008.I and 2008-II and the payment of the next three periods: 05/15/2018, 08/15/2018, and 11/15/2018.

The Ordinary Assembly of Shareholders was the scenario to approve unanimously the Financial States audited by Márquez, Perdomo, and Associates (members of CroweHorwarth International), as well as the report of the Directors on 31st December 2017.

In the report presents, it was indicated that Banesco ended 2017 with total actives of 30.788 Billion Bolívares, a number that represents 21,32% of the market (4,87% more above the previous period).

At the end of 2017, the bank entity registered an increase in its actives of 28.638 Billion Bolívares, an equivalent to a variation of 1.332% comparing it to December 2016 numbers.

Regarding new clients, Banesco made an increase during the last 12 months of 1.364,2% (26.175 Billion Bolívares), increasing the number at the end of December 2017 to 28.094 Billion bolívares. Also, at the end of December 2017 the amount in the credit wallet increased to 7.595 Billion Bolívares, a number that represents an increase of 6.618 Billion Bolívares (677,5%) in the year.

The Assembly authorized the directors to emit and pay money in cash to the owners of common shares until 50.000.000.000,00 Bolívares.

The Extraordinary Shareholder Assembly was held during this day also, in which the increase of the social budget of the institution led by Juan Carlos Escotet was set from 450.000.000.000,00 Bolívares to 691.250.000.000,00 Bolívares. The increase will be materialized through the emission of 45.000.000.000 new common shares with a nominal value of 10,00 Bolívares each one.

Furthermore, it was approved to give preference to the bearers of common shares in order to subscribe new shares in 1.866840703027 each one that will need to be paid in cash.
