Banesco Banco Universal, financial institution leaded by Juan Carlos Escotet and which Corporate Social Responsibility policy has as a base education, health and financial inclusion of Venezuelans, reported this month that it has graduated a total of 696 small entrepreneurs from Miranda State, Venezuela in the Microentrepreneurs Training Program. According to interventions of Norberto J. Mendez, Banesco’s vice president of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, the Microentrepreneurs Training Program is always at the disposition of those who need to approach the managerial and financial knowledge, to develop their skills in an increasingly competitive environment and thus contribute to the growth of the national economy.

Structure of the program

The course, which is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Programs of the financial institution, includes two modules: Administrative and Technological modules. Among the topics that the participants learn in the Administrative Module we can find:

  • How to lead my business?
  • How to know the market?
  • What is a budget?
  • How do I calculate my costs?

Once this last level is approved, they can carry out the Technological Module in which they are taught how to market through MercadoShop, a MercadoLibre tool that allows them to sell products and services in their own online store, in addition to learning the use of social networks.

Finally, Maria Isabel Diaz, who is coordinator of Fundación Social in Miranda State, said that they are sure that Venezuelan people is proactive and hardworking. According to her opinion, with the Microentrepreneurs Training Program, the team is convinced that they bring value to those business initiatives, in terms of market strategies, administrative tools and leadership.
