The main executives of ABANCA presented the most important lines of action and objectives established for this year at the annual convention of the bank, which brought together more than a thousand employees of the commercial division and the different business support areas in A Coruña. The meeting was attended by the president of the entity, Javier Etcheverría de la Muela; the Vice President, Juan Carlos Escotet and the CEO, Francisco Botas Ratera, who were accompanied by the rest of the management committee and the board of directors. Keep reading and know more.During the convention, executives stressed that the growth of the clients base and the increase in loyalty and linkage will be the key to achieve the business objectives of the bank for this year. The entity will prioritize the activity with SMEs, micro SMEs, businesses and the self-employed, especially, through the financing of working capital. In addition to that, the bank will enhance the attractiveness of clients and business with other value segments, such as personal and private banking. Also, according to Francisco Botas, this year ABANCA plans to consolidate the new model of specialization by clients segments started in 2016, which is one of the pillars of the commercial transformation that the entity is undertaking.
Finally, the vice president, Juan Carlos Escotet, revealed that the entity has already fulfilled the majority of the objectives established in the Strategic Plan 2015-2017. According to his intervention, the entity has significantly improved its financial profile; Abanca has achieved a growth and profitability superior to the market and also has established a solvency position that places the bank recurrently among the most solid entities. Escotet also mentioned that those objectives have been achieved with a strategy in which profitability, sustainability, risk control and clients orientation prevail.
